Get a Field Guide: Select a compact, easy-to-use nature field guide. Check reviews or join organized nature walks such as birding trips or tree walks hosted by groups across India.
Bring a Notebook: Carry a notebook and pen or pencil to jot down your observations and thoughts during your outings.
Use Apps: Leverage identification apps to help recognize species. Explore active WhatsApp groups dedicated to identifying birds, mammals, reptiles, insects, spiders, treehoppers, moths, butterflies, dragonflies, and more—details can be found below.
